HELLRAISER JUDGMENT: We Now Have the Proof That Classic Body Horror's Here to Stay

If you don't know what body horror is, get out. I'm just joking -- you can stay. Have a cookie. Please. Just make sure the cookie you're eating has no maggots on it. Anyway, the reason why I say "body horror's here to stay" is that ever since the days of Mary Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN, this particularly gruesome sub-genre has paralyzed fans to and fro with some of the sickest depravities known to man. Which is why back in 1987 a little known British body horror film called HELLRAISER from the iconic Clive Barker ended up becoming such a massive cult phenomenon, birthing one of the most recognizable figures since Wes Craven's Freddy Krueger: Pinhead!

It Wasn't Just Pinhead That Charmed the Horror Audience, Though: It Was the Sheer, Unabashed GORE so Prevalent in Those Films

People dug it, man! HELLRAISER was practically on the cover of every Fangoria magazine for I don't know how many years. But the reason why this piece happens to be about the sickest and darkest of films is that Dimension just released the trailer for the newest movie in the series.... Whaaaa? Another HELLRAISER? Oh, Hell, yeah.

Now before you start saving some money to head out to your local cinema, think again -- this beast will only be on VOD (sad, we know), on Blu-Ray and other formats. You can find it on Amazon right here.

Bear in Mind This Wicked Follow-Up Hasn't Been Released Yet

It's available for pre-order on Amazon. So line up for it. We're sure that won't be hard. But the biggest reason why this is a huge deal (especially for me) is that we have another edition in the iconic HELLRAISER series. The 10th film in a series that began, yes, in 1987.

Not even SAW can beat that right now. Heck, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET's short on that list of films, too!
