505 Games and Artplay have announced that Koji Igarashi’s spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of The Night in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has crossed the one million units sold mark across PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Not only that, the game’s next update, which includes the free “Boss Revenge Mode” and “Chroma Wheel” additions, will arrive on June 23 for PC, Xbox One and PS4, and for the Switch version in July.
The Boss Revenge Mode allows players to face off against four in-game bosses fast and furiously to get the best clear time, while the Chroma Wheel adds more cosmetic options for hair, clothing, and skin. On top of that, Artplay has unveiled the game’s roadmap through the rest of 2020, which includes the additional Chaos Mode and VS. Mode, Special Crossover Content and Classic Mode, and a new playable character.
Igarashi himself posted a video to thank fans for their support, and you’ll find that below along with new Boss Revenge Mode gameplay, courtesy of Gematsu.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
