Olivia Munn to Star in ‘Terminator’-esque ‘Replay’ [Cannes]

Dark Castle Entertainment, who has been behind some great genre films over the years from 13 Ghosts to Orphan, has teamed with The Exchange (The Woman in Black) on the sci-fi action pic Replay, which will star award-winning actress Olivia Munn (The Predator, X-Men: Apocalypse), Bloody Disgusting can report.

“Deftly merging the frenetic, close-quarters action of John Wick and The Raid with the clever sci-fi storytelling of The Terminator, Replay is the story of Erin Staffer (Munn), whose husband is kidnapped and murdered,” writes the press release. “Now, armed only with illegal, bleeding-edge tech and a desperate plan, Erin must do everything in her power to change the past and save him.”

In pre-production, Replay is written and directed by Jimmy Loweree (Absense), and produced by Munn alongside Ethan Erwin and Hal Sadoff of Dark Castle Entertainment.

Robert Bell of Dark Castle is co-producing. Dark Castle is currently in post on Simon Barrett’s (V/H/S/2) directorial debut Seance starring Suki Waterhouse and The Expecting directed by Mary Harron (American Psycho) and starring AnnaSophia Robb for Quibi. “Esther”, the prequel to their hit film Orphan, begins principal photography in August with William Brent Bell helming.
