Teaser Pulls Into ‘The Rental’; Trailer Arriving This Thursday

Dave Franco makes his directorial debut with IFC’s horror film The Rental, starring Alison Brie (“GLOW”) and Dan Stevens (The Guest, Apostle). Like they did with the creature feature The Wretched, IFC is bringing The Rental to select drive-in theaters across the country on July 24, 2020, and it’ll also be coming to On Demand services on that same date.

A trailer is promised this Thursday, but for now, enjoy this incredibly brief teaser in which the couples arrive at the rental… a cabin in the woods.

Also, this coming Thursday, June 18 at 8:30 PM, those in Los Angeles can take part in a one-night-only pop-up at the ArcLight Cinemas at Vineland Drive-In. You can purchase tickets here.

The Rental is a character-driven horror thriller about two couples who rent a vacation home for what should be a celebratory weekend get-away.

“Two couples looking to celebrate their seed money from a new business venture, embark on a weekend getaway to a seemingly perfect house they’ve booked online. But what begins as a festive weekend for the four close friends turns into something far more sinister as secrets they’ve kept from each other are exposed and paranoia grows that they may not be alone.”

Sheila Vand (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) and Jeremy Allen White (“Shameless”) co-star.

Franco wrote the script with Joe Swanberg (Drinking Buddies, Happy Christmas).
