Award-winning writer and director Courtney Paige teams up with seven-time recognized cinematographer Stirling Bancroft (Freaks) to tell the story of The Color Rose, Bloody Disgusting learned ahead of the virtual Cannes market where it will be repped globally by Arclight Films & Untitled Entertainment.
In the film, “An A-list girl clique starts a cult where each of them must embody one of the seven deadly sins. They realize there is more to their small religious town after they go missing one by one.“
The Color Rose is said to breathe new life into young adult female-driven content.
The feature film boasts an ensemble cast including the fast-rising star Kaitlyn Bernard (The Professor, Netflix’s 1922, The Healer), Brenna Llewellyn (Girl in the Galactic Sun), Brenna Coates (Coroner, Tics), Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica, The Killing), Loretta Walsh (“Bates Motel,” Netflix’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events”), Aleks Paunovic (Van Helsing, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Michael Eklund (Van Helsing, “Dirk Gently,” Netflix’s “Altered Carbon”), Lochlyn Munro (“Riverdale”), Dylan Playfair (Disney Channel’s “Descendants 2-3,” The Order, Hulu’s “Letterkenny”), Elysia Rotaru (“Arrow”), James Neate (Amazon Studios’ “The Man in the High Castle,” CW’s “The 100,” ABC’s “Pretty Little Liars”), and Maxwell Haynes (Once Upon a Time).
Produced by Siena Oberman (Skin, Mainstream, The Birthday Cake) and Hanna Griffiths (American Cherry, Angels in the Sky, Underbelly), The Color Rose was written by Courtney Paige, Erin Hazlehurst, and Madison Smith and created by a rising female above-the-line team.
The Color Rose recently had its world premiere at Mammoth Film Festival.
