Announced earlier this week, director Scott Cooper‘s Antlers, produced by Guillermo del Toro, will now be releasing in theaters on February 19, 2021, and a short new featurette video was debuted during the film’s Comic-Con at Home panel tonight. The featurette, which you’ll find at the start of the video below, digs into the Wendigo mythology that inspired the tale.
You’ll also find some small bits of new footage in the featurette.
In Antlers, a small-town Oregon teacher (Keri Russell) and her brother (Jesse Plemons), the local sheriff, become entwined with a young student (Jeremy T. Thomas) harboring a dangerous secret with frightening consequences.
Based on the short story “The Quiet Boy” by Nick Antosca (“Channel Zero”), Antlers is written by Henry Chaisson and Antosca, with revisions by Cooper.
