‘Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls’ to Shut Down This September

Well, this didn’t last long. If you were wondering just what Konami was doing with the Castlevania license, we’ve covered their mobile game Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls before. But now, it seems Konami are pulling the plug on their multiplayer phone game, one year after it was launched.

First announced back in April 2018, Grimoire of Souls was similar to Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, where up to six people would all go through a castle at once with multiple characters from the series. The idea was that Alucard would entering Grimoires that dealt with the series’ past events. Multiple people could play at once to complete challenges in the game.

But now, that’s all for nothing. The game is still available on the Google Play Store and Apple Store, if you’re looking to try it out. Just don’t buy any of the microtransactions.
