Executive produced by Joe R. Lansdale (Bubba Ho-Tep), Fangoria and director Aaron B. Koontz‘s The Pale Door is headed our way in August, and the trailer has arrived today.
The Pale Door is a horror-western hybrid, and RLJE Films is unleashing it into drive-in theaters and on Digital/VOD on August 21st. It’ll then be hitting Shudder at a later date.
The trailer reminds quite a bit of From Dusk Till Dawn, a similar genre hybrid that similarly saw criminals seeking shelter in anything but a safe space. It was of course vampires in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s 1996 classic, and it’s witches in The Pale Door.
Find the trailer and poster art below.
In the film, “The Dalton gang finds shelter in a seemingly uninhabited ghost town after a train robbery goes south. Seeking help for their wounded leader, they are surprised to stumble upon a welcoming brothel in the town’s square. But the beautiful women who greet them are actually a coven of witches with very sinister plans for the unsuspecting outlaws.”
The script was written by Koontz (Scare Package), Cameron Burns and Keith Lansdale.
Pat Healy, Bill Sage, Noah Segan, Devin Druid, Zachary Knighton and Melora Walters star.
And here is your first official look at the last 2+ years of my life… but in many ways, is more like twenty.
I can’t put into words what this one means. So I won’t even try today.
