Set to World Premiere at the forthcoming digital edition of the Fantasia Film Festival is the hyped Kriya, which the fest described as “a transgressive, darkly humorous, and mystically atmospheric…fever dream.”
“Kriya is the nightmare odyssey of a young DJ named Neel who is picked up one fateful night by the beautiful Sitara, only to be thrust into a hallucinatory world of ritual magic surrounding the imminent death of her father.”
The film stars Navjot Randhawa (Mehsampur), Noble Luke, and Avantika Akerkar, is co-produced by Andy Starke (In Fabric) and Pete Tombs (Free Fire), and features a score by Jim Williams, who killed it with Brandon Cronenberg’s Possessor.
Here’s the film’s official trailer and poster art that take a trip to hell.
