Now here’s some nostalgically exciting news to kick off the day. THR reports that a handful of fan favorite ’80s actors are joining forces for the upcoming fantasy adventure film Man & Witch, being described as a “heartwarming homage to the lo-fi fantasy films of the 80s.”
The NeverEnding Story actor Tami Stronach (who played the Childlike Empress in the 1984 film) is starring alongside Christopher Lloyd, Sean Astin, Rhea Perlman and Michael Emerson.
And yes, the film will even feature old school puppet work from The Jim Henson Creature Shop! THR notes that puppet characters include a “talking sheep, goose and dog.”
“Stronach will play a reclusive, yet powerful and mysterious witch who loses her heart to a hapless goatherd when he hires her to break a curse by an evil wizard.”
Rob Margolies (She Wants Me) is directing Man & Witch, written by Greg Steinbruner.
