“Stranger Things” and ‘It Follows’ Stars Survive the Night in Short Film “How to Be Alone” [World of Death]

Howdy there friends and neighbors, welcome to another fiendish episode of World of Death. This month our tales feature some familiar faces – see if you can recognize them!  Some come from stranger followings, while others more recently from right here in our neighborhood.

First, we bring you a tale of horror and paranoia that reaches deep into the pit of your darkest fears and pulls forth the core of dread itself.  In How to Be Alone, directed by Kate Trefry, we are presented with a dissertation on the delirium that accompanies being left to cope with our own thoughts. Luckily, our guide Lucy will give us the rules to follow as we navigate some stunning visual depictions of the horrors that may come when we are alone. Trefry is no stranger to storytelling in the genre, being a writer on “Stranger Things”.  Stars Maika Monroe (It Follows, Villains) and Joe Keery (“Stranger Things”) help make this short film a memorable addition to the World of Death library.

Our second feature is a follow-up to another shocking story, this one from last month’s episode. In Neighborlies, directed by Steve Kopera, we find our familiar fiend and a new ghoul-friend living together. Oh, and of course those creepy children are still roaming the neighborhood. This time the trouble is double as we see the week unfold. These children don’t care if Monday is blue, Tuesday’s going to have a snowball attack and Wednesday’s gift will shock you. By Friday… no, you will just have to watch this highly entertaining sequel play out. Enjoy!

That is all for this time, friends. We are here for you with new frights each month. As you have seen this week, you never know who or what will stop by to visit you in the World of Death.
