‘Alone’ Trailer: A Kidnapped Woman Must Fight for Her Life [Video]

Magnet Releasing has just hit the road with the trailer for Alone, the English-language remake of director Mattias Olsson‘s Gone (2011) that’s headed our way on September 18th.

Directed by John Hyams (Netflix’s “Black Summer”, Universal Soldier: Regeneration, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning), the trailer looks like a solid thriller, albeit a bit cookie-cutter. In the film, a woman, traveling alone, is kidnapped and forced to fight for her survival.

“Set in the Pacific Northwest wilderness, the film follows recently widowed Jessica (Jules Willcox) who, fleeing the city in a desperate attempt to cope with the loss of her late husband, is kidnapped and locked away in a mysterious man’s cabin. Her escape from the clutches of this murderous captor lands her in the heart of the untamed wilderness, with only her wits to rely on for survival as her pursuer closes in.”

The remake’s script was written by Olsson.
