With the film finally coming to theaters next weekend, the marketing campaign for Josh Boone‘s The New Mutants has once again kicked into gear, so apologies to those who have been sick of hearing about the movie for a long time now. It’ll all be over soon. We promise.
In the meantime, a brand new clip from The New Mutants has been debuted by IGN today, and it highlights Split and The Witch star Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, a character whose name is nothing if not a fitting one. Fed up with her friends being terrorized by the monstrous Demon Bear, Magik decides to bravely take the fight directly to the otherworldly threat.
The beast may be magic but then again, so is she. Taylor-Joy gets her own “I’m beautiful… and bad” moment in this clip from the film, which was in fact inspired by Dream Warriors…
The New Mutants will release in theaters on August 28, 2020.
