Excellent news this morning as there’s been one more release date change for Bill & Ted Face the Music, as we’ve learned today that the film will now be coming to theaters and at-home VOD on Friday, August 28, 2020!
The film had previously been set for release a few days later, on September 1.
Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter and William Sadler are all back, alongside Ready or Not‘s Samara Weaving as Thea Preston and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Billie Logan.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.”
The cast for the upcoming third film also includes Jillian Bell, Jayma Mays, Anthony Carrigan, Kristen Schaal, Erinn Hayes, Holland Taylor, Amy Stoch and Kid Cudi.
Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) directed the film from a screenplay by original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.
