“Hausen”: Haunted Building Devours Its Residents in Trailer for German Series [Video]

“This house is not just a building.”

Sky customers are in for a Halloween treat with “Hausen”, described as a “Haunted House” series that combines horror, mystery, dark fairy tales and drama.

In the series, “After the death of his mother, 16-year-old Juri (Tristan Göbel) and his father Jaschek (Charly Hübner) move into a run-down prefabricated building on the outskirts of the city. While Jaschek tries to build a new existence for himself and his son as the caretaker of the ailing building, Juri gradually discovers that the house has a vicious life of its own and feeds on the suffering of its residents.

“In order to fight it, Juri has to get the partly hostile, partly apathetic block population to work together – and to rebel against his father, who is increasingly falling under the spell of the house.

Thomas Stuber directed the eight episodes for Lago Film on behalf of Sky Deutschland.

“Hausen” will be the big Halloween event for Sky customers: From October 29th, two new episodes will be broadcast daily on Sky Atlantic and all episodes already shown will be repeated in advance. The entire season will be available on demand via Sky Ticket and Sky Q from October 29th.

No word on a U.S. release just yet.
