Konami Accidentally Stirs Up ‘Silent Hill’ Fanbase With Latest Tweets; Denies New Game in the Works

The person who runs Konami’s Twitter page must either like to stir the pot, or they still fail to realize how much fans miss Silent Hill. With rumours still swirling as to whether Konami is indeed trying to resurrect the series, the latest tweets from Konami’s Twitter have fans once again buzzing. Though, if the follow-up tweets were any indication, fans may have gotten themselves worked up for nothing.

It all started when Konami recently made a post that included the legendary Silent Hill 2 siren. You can guess what fans did next.

Konami quickly explained themselves, saying that they were “watching streams of Dead By Daylight” (which recently added Pyramid Head to its roster of killers), and just wanted to “share the noise and feel of being hunted”.

To their credit, Konami didn’t backpedal or take the tweet down, but did issue an apology for getting people “fired up”, as well as doing the usual “anything related to any new Silent Hill game will come from us” explanation. Still, you can tell that more than a few people were annoyed at Konami for doing this.

So we wait. But in the meantime, we still have games like The Medium and Under that look to recreate those same feelings we first had when entering into the town of Silent Hill.
