‘Requiem for a Dream’ Celebrates 20 Years With Director’s Cut on 4K Ultra HD in October

Prepare to get wrecked all over again as we’ve learned this week that Darren Aronofsky‘s nightmare drama Requiem for a Dream is headed to 4K Ultra HD this coming October.

Lionsgate will release the film’s Director’s Cut to 4K + Blu-ray + Digital on October 13.

Requiem for a Dream celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, released in October 2000.

“Set amidst the abandoned beaches and faded glory of Coney Island, Brooklyn, the story intricately links the lives of a lonely widowed mother (Academy Award Winner Ellen Burstyn), her son Harry (Jared Leto), his beautiful girlfriend Marion (Jennifer Connelly) and his best friend Tyrone (Marlon Wayans). Requiem for a Dream is a hypnotic tale of four human beings each pursuing their vision of happiness. Even as everything begins to fall apart, they refuse to let go, plummeting with their dreams into a nightmarish gut-wrenching freefall.”
