Admittedly, VRChat feels more like a novelty than anything (at least in my useless opinion), but that doesn’t mean that it can’t have some horror on it. Case in point: A group of developers got together to create a 5-6 hour game that you can play for absolutely nothing.
Created by 4 Poneys, The Devouring‘s premise is pretty simple: After a road trip goes south‚ you and three of your friends (though you can play solo) find yourselves inside a mysterious manor․ The devs claim that this is a “jump scare-free” game, and plays much closer to Amnesia. It’s also best played with a group.
Also keep in mind that you don’t need a VR headset to play this one.
To get in on the fun, you’ll need to get the VRChat client, which you can download from Steam. From there, you can either head to the official page for the game, or you can search for The Devouring while in VRChat.
