Bethesda Enlists Andrew Hulshult For Upcoming ‘DOOM Eternal’ DLC

After the less-than-amicable split between DOOM Eternal composer Mick Gordon and Bethesda, it was a question of who would replace Gordon in the upcoming “The Ancient Gods” DLC expansion. Well, who better to conduct a sonic assault in a shooter than someone who’s been doing that for more than a while?

That’s right, Andrew Hulshult, who has scored throwback shooters like DUSK, the Brutal Doom mod (which is available for free, so get it), Wrath: Aeon of Ruin and the upcoming Prodeus, is doing what’s necessary to ensure ripping and tearing in DOOM Eternal remains as such.

Hulshult made the announcement on Twitter that he will be collaborating with id Software engineer David Levy, who had stepped in to finish up the DOOM Eternal soundtrack after difficulties with Gordon became apparent.

The Ancient Gods, Part One, will launch on October 20th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Switch versions of DOOM Eternal are also planned for release.
