Bloody Disgusting’s Horror Queers Tackle ‘Copycat’ for a Special Salem Horror Fest Podcast Episode

This year’s virtual Salem Horror Fest kicks off on October 1st, and Bloody Disgusting’s own Horror Queers Podcast (hosted by Trace Thurman and Joe Lipsett) is bringing a special episode of its show to the event. Salem Horror Fest attendees will have exclusive access to Trace and Joe’s podcast on 1995’s Copycat, starring Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter!

In director Jon Amiel’s film, “An agoraphobic psychologist and a female detective must work together to take down a serial killer who copies serial killers from the past.”

We can tell you that the episode will feature a *secret guest,* with Trace and Joe addressing the lesbian energy between Sigourney and Holly, as well as the film being overshadowed by comparisons to The Silence of the Lambs and, more recently, the release of Seven the month before. They also speculate on what a potential sequel or TV series would look like.

You’ll be able to listen to the episode by grabbing an All Access Pass for the Salem Horror Fest *or* by purchasing the Weekend I Pass (October 2-4). Grab your tickets today!

Each week in the queer horror podcast Horror Queers, Joe Lipsett and Trace Thurman tackle a horror film with LGBTQ+ themes, a high camp quotient or both.
