October is right around the corner (as if you didn’t already know), so you know horror is getting a focus for many companies. And Microsoft is doing just that with October’s lineup of Games With Gold, focusing on Wales Interactive’s Maid of Sker and Blue Wizard Digital’s Slayaway Camp.
Available from October 1 until the end of the month, Slayaway Camp has you indulging in your inner slasher while solving puzzles in order to get at those pesky teens. The game is also available on the Google Play Store and Steam. Meanwhile, Maid of Sker (which happened to release earlier this year in July for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam) steeps itself in Welsh folklore, where you must utilize stealth in order to survive the horrors to avoid The Quiet Ones. Maid of Sker will be available from October 16 to November 15.
Other games included in the pack are two Xbox 360 titles playable on the Xbox One in Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (available from October 1 to 15) and Costume Quest (available October 16 to 30).
