Welcome to “Helstrom”: Trailer for Hulu’s New Series Shows Off Marvel’s Horror Side [Video]

Marvel is a brand synonymous with superheroes, at least when it comes to television and movies, thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Still, there’s a lot more to Marvel beyond the MCU, especially for the horror fan. Enter Helstrom, a new series premiering on Hulu that explores Marvel’s darker, more chilling supernatural side. More intriguingly, it breaks the traditional superhero formula.

Helstrom tells of a very complicated family. A woman fell in love with an evil man, realized it far too late, and a traumatic incident ripped the family apart. The couple’s children, Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), were forced to deal with their childhoods in very different ways. Because of this, the siblings couldn’t be further apart in personality and their outlook on their family bonds. They do share one thing in common, though; their serial killer father from whom they inherited unique skills and gifts. As adults, they must overcome their complicated dynamic and use their respective talents to track down humanity’s worst. That also includes the not so human.

Helstrom is created for television and executive produced by Paul Zbyszewski along with Karim Zreik and Jeph Loeb. The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios, part of Disney Television Studios. The Marvel comics inspire the story and characters for Helstrom, but what does that mean?

To get you acclimated to Helstrom‘s suspenseful, mysterious, and action-packed world ahead of its release on October 16th, exclusively on Hulu, be sure to check out the trailer and key art below!
