Oscar Isaac in Talks to Play Marvel’s Moon Knight in Disney+ Series from “The Exorcist” Creator Jeremy Slater

Oscar Isaac is headed into the Marvel universe with the upcoming Disney+ series “Moon Knight,” Deadline reports today, as the actor is currently in talks to play the title role!

The series is being developed by Jeremy Slater, who created Fox’s excellent but short-lived “The Exorcist” series. Slater (“The Umbrella Academy”) is leading the writing team.

Moon Knight was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, introduced in Werewolf by Night #32 (August 1975). Deadline provides a brief refresher course overview, “Moon Knight aka Marc Spector, is a mercenary who has numerous alter egos — cabbie Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant — in order to better fight the criminal underworld. But later he was established as being a conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Most recently, the character was a consultant who dresses in all-white and goes by the name Mr. Knight.”

Moon Knight has to date never appeared in the world of live-action, and the Disney+ series is reportedly set to pave the way for the character to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
