Puppet Combo Returns With ‘Babysitter Bloodbath’ Successor in ‘Murder House’

If you’re in the mood this week for some retro-styled PS1 horror, Puppet Combo are back with their latest release that focuses on that classic 80s slasher cheese with Murder House. Available now on Steam (with a cool 10% discount until October 29th), Murder House is the spiritual successor to Puppet Combo’s earlier hit, Babysitter Bloodbath.

Murder House takes your typical cliché slasher premise with a news crew breaking into the old abandoned home of an executed serial killer in order to shoot a salacious haunted house story. But, is the serial killer, the notorious Anthony Smith aka Easter Ripper, really dead? Or is he waiting inside?

Featuring that classic Resident Evil look and feel (complete with tank controls), alongside an early PS1 graphics aesthetic (with a hint of 80s VHS distortion), Murder House will also be seeing post-launch content. According to Puppet Combo, plans are that the game will receive a first person mode, as well as a post game scene that unfortunately had to be scrapped for release date purposes. Don’t worry, it’s still coming, so as Puppet Combo states, hold onto your save file.

And of course, audiophiles will be pleased that the 80s synth soundtrack will also see a release in the future.
