‘Wolfenstein’, ‘Prey’ and ‘Dishonored’ Collections Headed to Xbox Series X

With their recent acquisition of Bethesda, Microsoft appears to have at the ready several Bethesda titles that will be backwards compatible for its upcoming Xbox Series X. Spotted on the ESRB website, a pair of new collections have appeared, related to Wolfenstein and Arkane Studios titles Prey and Dishonored.

Wolfenstein Alt History Collection appears to contain all four titles in the rebooted franchise that MachineGames released this past generation, while the second collection is referred to as Dishonored & Prey: The Arkane Collection, and contains all three Dishonored entries, with the 2017 release of Prey. It’s not clear if Prey‘s DLC will be included in the collection, but it’d be strange if it was absent.

Make no mistake, these are very much real, as listings have started to pop up at Best Buy for the collections, with Wolfenstein retailing for $79.99 and the Prey and Dishonored collection setting you back $59.99. There’s no release date for them as of yet, which poses the question as to if they’ll be available for when the Series X launches next month. There’s also no indication if they’ve been enhanced to take advantage of the new hardware.

Looks to be another case of “wait and see”.
