First it was a play written by Frederick Knott and then a movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and now we’ve learned that “Dial M for Murder” is becoming a limited TV series.
Deadline reports that MGM/UA Television is behind the limited series project, with Alicia Vikander (Tomb Raider) attached to executive produce and potentially star.
The series “reimagines the classic suspense thriller story from the female perspective.”
The site also notes, “Dial M For Murder is being developed as an anthology series with potential follow-up installments in the suspense thriller genre from a similarly female point of view.”
Michael Mitnick (The Giver) is creating and writing “Dial M for Murder.”
In Hitchcock’s 1954 thriller starring Ray Milland, Grace Kelly and Robert Cummings, “A former tennis player tries to arrange his wife’s murder after learning of her affair.”
