With upcoming fan film Silent Hill: Echoes currently in the midst of delays (due to delayed reshoots), once again, it’s the fans that come to the rescue. Another fan film, Silent Hill: Road of Guilt, which is co-directed by Leigh Thorne and Ruben Abreu, is also currently in the beginnings of production.
Silent Hill: Road of Guilt is a standalone story set in the Silent Hill universe that sees Matt Perkins as James Sutherland (of Silent Hill 2 fame) dealing with the fact that he may have opened a rift between our realm and the realm of Silent Hill.
The short is currently still in pre-production due to COVID, however the filmmakers are hoping that if it proves to be a success, that they will be able to use it to launch a full feature film entitled Silent Hill: Waking Hours. Road of Guilt is based on pieces of Waking Hours‘ script.
As with many fan films, there appears to be a lot of passion involved with this one. In fact, Leigh has an Instagram page devoted to their cosplay work, which includes Pyramid Head. You can also check out stills from the upcoming short on there, as well.
You can also check out Ruben Abreu’s previous horror short, Chaos, on YouTube.
