Jaume Collet-Serra’s Orphan is getting a prequel with the upcoming Orphan: First Kill, which will use creative and clever techniques to bring back Isabelle Fuhrman as Esther.
Deadline reports today that Rossif Sutherland (Possessor) has also signed on. The actor is the son of Donald Sutherland, and half-brother of Kiefer Sutherland.
The cast also includes Julia Stiles (The Omen).
In the film, “Leena Klammer orchestrates a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility and travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. But Leena’s new life as “Esther” comes with an unexpected wrinkle and pits her against a mother who will protect her family at any cost.”
William Brent Bell (The Boy) is directing, and David Coggeshall wrote the script.
The project comes from Dark Castle Entertainment and Entertainment One.
