Rumour: Konami And Sony to Reveal a New ‘Silent Hill’ Game at The Game Awards This Year?

Oh look, it’s another one of these. To be fair, given past rumours regarding Sony and Konami looking to resurrect Silent Hill, it’s understandable to get your hopes up just a little. But, as always, take this rumour with a pile of sodium chloride.

Anyway, according to Roberto Serrano, a gaming industry business analyst, Konami and Sony are allegedly planning to do a World Premiere of a new Silent Hill game at this year’s Game Awards on December 10. Again, nothing to really back up/support this claim, other than going off of the past rumours involving manga artist Suehiro Maruo and Sony potentially working with team members from “Project Siren” on a reboot.

Then again, Konami did start up a new official Silent Hill Twitter account this past July. This was of course after they stirred up the fanbase with that tweet about the siren from Silent Hill 2.

But really, many of us are just tired of hearsay and rumours. Will Konami finally pull the trigger and bring back Silent Hill for a new console generation? We’ll have to wait for the Game Awards next month to find out.
