Well that’s a headline I never expected to write.
Deadline is reporting today that the 1986 slasher Sorority House Massacre, which spawned two sequels, is now getting a television series, with Norman Reedus producing!
The “Walking Dead” star is producing the series under his new bigbaldhead banner, joining forces with Shout! Studios and Robert Schwartzman’s Utopia Originals.
“I could not be more excited to collaborate with Robert and his incredible team at Utopia on this project,” said Norman Reedus. “Their taste and creative vision are inspiring, and exactly in line with the kind of content that bigbaldhead set out to develop. We are thrilled to revisit this cult classic and create something truly unique.”
Stephen Trask (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) is also involved in the project.
The 1986 original was produced by Roger Corman and written/directed by Carol Frank.
In the slasher movie, “College student Beth and her sorority sisters are stalked by an escaped psychopathic killer who shares a strange telepathic link with her.”
