Naughty Dog’s smash hit The Last of Us Part II took home the hardware with six wins at The Golden Joystick Awards 2020 yesterday. Not only did the title win the coveted Ultimate Game of The Year, but also took home the awards for Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Best Audio, PlayStation Game of the Year, and earned Naughty Dog the Studio of the Year.
Not to be outdone, Supergiant Games’ Hades took home the Best Indie Game and Critic’s Choice awards, while Death Stranding snagged the PC Game of The Year. Meanwhile, God of War: Ragnarok earned the Most Wanted Game Award.
This bodes well for what’s likely the last megahit for the PlayStation 4, as The Last of Us Part II also has eleven nominations going into the upcoming Game Awards 2020, which take place on December 10.
