If you fancy some old-school Doom for the holidays, Bethesda is ready to hook you up with the announcement that they’ve added the Doom Zero add-on to their Doom and Doom II re-releases. Originally created last year in celebration of Doom II’s 25th anniversary (and available separately on ModDB), Doom Zero contains 32 levels filled with new enemies, new bosses, new sounds, new music and new sprites.
It’s also compatible with the original MS-DOS versions. Unfortunately, Doom Zero is not compatible with any other mods, such as Brutal Doom, Beautiful Doom, etc. as these will have the unfortunate effect of erasing the new content.
You can also download the new soundtrack, while you’re at it.
Doom and Doom II are also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
