Carnage is Back in New Four-Issue Comic Book Miniseries ‘Carnage: Black, White & Blood’ Early Next Year

Before we catch back up with Cletus Kasady in the feature film sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the character will first return in four-issue series Carnage: Black, White & Blood.

Announced by CBR today, Carnage: Black, White & Blood #1 features a team including “writers Donny Cates (Venom, King in Black), Benjamin Percy (X-Force, Wolverine) and Tini Howard (ExcaliburX of Swords), and artists Sara Pichelli (Fantastic FourSpider-Men II) and Ken Lashley (Friendly-Neighborhood Spider-ManX-Men Gold).”

“These spine-chilling tales are not for the faint of heart,” Marvel promises.

Percy told CBR, “Carnage is a hell of a character. One of the most terrifying villains in comics. When Marvel reached out to me about contributing to this Black, White, & Blood collection, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. My heart is poisonous after all. And my brain is a twisting ball of centipedes. So he’s someone readymade for my foul handiwork.

“I was immediately drawn to the freedom of writing out of continuity. I grew up in the West. I’ve always been obsessed with westerns. In my former life, I was a professor, and I used to teach a graduate course called (re)Writing the West. So that’s where my mind instantly gravitated…. what if Carnage were alive back then? In frontier times? Wouldn’t he become an outlaw more infamous even than a Billy the Kid or Jesse James? Indeed, he would. And that was the first dark seed of the story I’ll be telling.”

Carnage: Black, White & Blood #1 will release in March 2021.
