‘Deathloop’ And ‘Ghostwire: Tokyo’ Apparently Confirmed For PS5 Exclusivity For 12 Months

It seems that in spite of the current Bethesda-Microsoft situation, Sony appears to have the upper hand when it comes to two of Bethesda’s upcoming titles. That’s the assumption one can make with the latest video from PlayStation hyping upcoming titles, including Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo.

According to the video, the PlayStation 5 and PC will have both Bethesda games under exclusivity for at least a year. When Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo footage shows up, a disclaimer is shown at the bottom of the video stating that these titles won’t be able to appear on other consoles till at least 12 months after launch.

Xbox head Phil Spencer has mentioned before in interviews that Xbox will have exclusivity for titles from Bethesda, but the speculation over announced titles prior to Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda was always a question.

Deathloop arrives on May 21, 2021. Ghostwire: Tokyo has yet to have its release date announcement, though with The Game Awards happening this Thursday, there’s a possibility that we’d see that release date reveal.
