Join Bloody Disgusting This Friday for a ‘Scare Me’ at Home Twitter Watch Party!

After arriving on Shudder in October, writer/director Josh Ruben‘s directorial debut, Scare Me, released on Digital HD and VOD this week. The cozy little cabin in the woods tale makes for a perfect seasonal treat, and we’re celebrating by hosting a Twitter Watch Party this Friday! And we want you to join us!

What could go wrong at a cabin in the woods? In horror, everything can and will go wrong. Poor Fred (Ruben) learns this the hard way when he rents a cabin in the Catskills to break his writer’s block. There Fred meets successful author Fanny, played by the always great Aya Cash (“The Boys”, “You’re the Worst”).

When the strangers experience a power outage, Fred and Fanny decide to pass the time by telling each other scary stories. But the more Fred and Fanny commit to their tales, the more the stories come to life. As the horrors of reality manifest, Fred confronts his ultimate fear that Fanny may be the better storyteller, forcing him to craft the most horrific tale imaginable and put an end to the competition for good.  Chris Redd‘s Carlo gives the pair a story time assist.

If you’ve never participated in a Twitter Watch Party before, it’s simple: Press play at the start time (6pm PT/9pm ET) and follow the hashtag #ScareMeWatchParty to view real-time conversation on the film. If you want to join in, tag your Tweet with #ScareMeWatchParty. That’s it!

Be sure to follow along with the hashtag as well as Bloody Disgusting on Twitter, and keep your eyes peeled for a chance to win a Scare Me digital code for iTunes in anticipation.

To kick off your weekend with a killer time, join us for the #ScareMeWatchParty.
