‘Scare Me’ Celebrates Digital Release with New Character Posters

Writer/Director Josh Ruben‘s directorial debut, Scare Me, hits Digital HD and VOD today! To celebrate, RLJE Films released new character posters. The cozy fireside gem stars Ruben as Fred, an aspiring writer who rents a cabin to get his creative juices flowing. There Fred meets successful author Fanny, played by the always great Aya Cash (“The Boys”, “You’re the Worst”).

When the strangers experience a power outage, Fred and Fanny decide to pass the time by telling each other scary stories. But the more Fred and Fanny commit to their tales, the more the stories come to life. As the horrors of reality manifest, Fred confronts his ultimate fear that Fanny may be the better storyteller, forcing him to craft the most horrific tale imaginable and put an end to the competition for good.  Chris Redd‘s Carlo gives the pair a story time assist.

Per my review out of Sundance earlier this year, “As a battle of wits between two endlessly entertaining characters, over the nature of horror movies and scary stories no less, Scare Me feels like a spooky, cozy warm blanket worth cuddling up to by the fire.”

In other words, if you haven’t seen one of the year’s most charming horror-comedies yet, this is the perfect time of year to curl up under a blanket and watch.

With Scare Me arriving on Digital HD and VOD today, you now have more ways to do just that!
