Asymmetrical Horror Game ‘Home Sweet Home: Survive’ Has Ghosts Hunting Players

Fans of asymmetrical horror titles will have another one on the way, courtesy of Yggdrazil Group. Inspired by their previous title, Home Sweet Home, Home Sweet Home: Survive is a 4-versus-1 multiplayer game to be released on Steam later this year.

In Survive, players will have to contend with an angry specter trying to hunt them down. In the meantime, the other players will have to work together to banish the spirit.

The story concerns the Hindrance, a dimension between the world of the living and the world of the dead (think Purgatory). As these things go, people use those dead souls trapped in the Hindrance for their schemes. A group of people are subsequently dragged into the Hindrance, where they must now work together to escape, while at the same time trying to avoid the wrath of the Specter hunting for their souls.

As you might expect, the survivors have to cooperate to either escape, or complete a ritual to banish the spirit. Each character will have different stats and unique abilities supporting each role of play—decoy, damage, or perform the rituals.

At the moment, Home Sweet Home: Survive doesn’t have its Steam page up and running. However, you can check out the title’s official site, or hit up its Facebook page.
