After fine-tuning her sound and brand around the release of last year’s excellent I Disagree, Poppy parted ways with her longtime collaborator, which left many of us wondering what the future would look like.
Well, we got a taste during last night’s Grammy Awards and boy did it deliver the goods.
Poppy performed “Eat”, a loud, angry and high-energy new song that presumably will appear on her new album later this year. There’s no studio version available as of this writing, so just watch the performance below and then lift your jaw up off the floor after.
Poppy was nominated for “Best Metal Performance” at last night’s Grammy Awards, but lost out to Ice-T’s Body Count.
