More shark attack horror is on the way from China, we’ve learned this week, with a film titled Huge Shark (aka Deadly Shark Beach) swimming our way with a first-look trailer today.
The film is directed by Huang Zhaosheng, with the cast including Zhao Yihuan, Huang Tao, Hong Shuang, Luan Tian, and Zhang Lei. Here’s the official plot synopsis…
“Due to changes in ocean currents, shark activity has appeared near a certain diving area. The hungry shark is ready to move, waiting for an opportunity to start a merciless killing. Doctor Shen Xin was invited to attend the birthday party of his cousin Liu Yiran, but by accident, he got involved in the emotional farce of Zhou Tianming and He Wendy. The four strayed into the shark-infested place, and the bloodthirsty hunt was staged. In order to save everyone’s lives, Shen Xin starts a desperate contest with the bloodthirsty sharks.”
Huge Shark looks to be China’s answer to the Blake Lively-starring The Shallows, pitting one woman up against a massive shark that just won’t quit. Check out the official trailer below.
