So, you’re excited for Cold Iron Studios’ Aliens: Fireteam, you’ve read Neil’s preview, but you’re still wondering about the gameplay? No need to fret, as IGN has gone ahead and released a whopping 25 minute gameplay video showing the game in action.
The footage for the three-player co-op third-person shooter is a composite of the perspectives of Craig Zinkievich (CEO, Cold Iron Studios), Matt Highison (CCO, Cold Iron Studios), and IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey. The trio take part in a mission on an orbital refinery in the outer rim, where a distress call was made. You can gather just what’s gone down involving the Xenomorphs.
Set 23 years after the events of Alien 3, Aliens: Fireteam has you as a member of one of the Colonial Marines’ fireteams being sent to human-inhabited locations across four campaigns to deal with the Xenomorphs. The game will use a class system, where you can play as either a Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, or Recon.
Aliens: Fireteam is expected to arrive this Summer on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
