Raid Tombs And Avoid Death in Upcoming Asymmetrical Co-op Survival Horror Game ‘FOREWARNED’

If you love Phasmophobia, Dreambyte Games has a little something of their own later this year in FOREWARNED, a 1-4 player co-op survival horror title set for release on Steam for PC and VR Q3 2021.

Taking on an Egyptian theme, FOREWARNED will have players gearing up with their team of archaeologists to delve into ancient tombs of the Mejai, powerful warriors cursed with unnaturally long life, to recover lost artifacts. Of course, the Mejai aren’t going to let a simple thing like death stop them from protecting these artifacts.

Featuring both player-vs-enemy and player-vs-player elements, you must take advantage of every tool at your disposal to navigate through ancient Egyptian ruins and survive. Alternatively, you can choose to provide intel to your teammates from outside the ruins in the safety of your excavation tent, using such tools as the radar system or motion sensor array to detect activity.

Meanwhile, you will encounter one of one of seven types of Mejai warrior attempting to stop players from looting the artifacts. Those players killed in the tombs return as servants to the Mejai, where you can either hunt with the Mejai, or help your team to avoid death.

According to the team, FOREWARNED will be in Early Access for approximately 6-12 months, “depending on player feedback and content requests.” The full version of the game will include full PC & VR crossplay, in-game voice chat, the ability to select/purchase your equipment and upgrade existing equipment and more.

FOREWARNED is available now for wishlisting, so head on over if you’re keen on looting some tombs.
