We’ve talked about Silent Hill director Keiichiro Toyama and his new studio Bokeh Game Studio a couple of times, including the developer’s upcoming project for PC. In a new article by Video Games Chronicle based on an interview with Al Hub, Toyama has revealed that said project has Toyama collaborating with a “famous creator” in Japan.
Speaking with Al Hub, Toyama was asked to reveal “something nobody has been told before”. Toyama’s response was that while things are still in an early period with production on the new project, the team is “looking to create an experience that can be enjoyed widely by a range of people,” he said. “So, for example, we intend for our game to have a setting in Asian cities.”
“One thing we can say is that, we are working hard right now to collaborate with a famous creator in Japan, and that’s something we haven’t been open about before.”
What that “famous creator” means is open to interpretation. Does that mean an individual, or is it an actual company? Toyama obviously didn’t say, but it certainly adds more fuel to the speculation train.
Regardless, the still-as-yet-unnamed horror-adventure project by Bokeh Game Studio is aiming for a 2023 release on PC.
