From Image Comics and “The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman comes Amazon Prime’s animated series “Invincible,” which adapts Kirkman’s violent superhero comic books. The series premiered last month, and it looks like it’s proven to be a hit for Amazon because the show’s official social media account just announced that more episodes are on the way.
The series has been renewed for second *and* third seasons!
“Invincible” is an adult animated superhero series that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.
Each episode runs 30-minutes long, with Season 1 now available on Amazon Prime.
The show’s voice cast also includes Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Mae Whitman, Chris Diamantopoulos, Melise, Kevin Michael Richardson, Grey Griffin and Max Burkholder.
