Dark Castle Entertainment and Simon Barrett Conduct a ‘Seance’ Next Month; Image Gallery Sets the Mood

Simon Barrett (V/H/S, V/H/S/94, You’re Next, The Guest, Blair Witch) makes his directorial debut with the upcoming horror movie Seance, which is headed our way in one month.

First, Seance comes to theaters, On Demand and Digital courtesy of RLJE Films on May 21. The film will then be arriving on the Shudder streaming service at a later date this year.

In the wake of the trailer earlier this week, a full image gallery for Barrett’s Seance has now opened up, introducing the cast of characters and setting the stage for his latest horror tale.

Seance was produced by Dark Castle Entertainment (House on Haunted Hill, Thirteen Ghosts, House of Wax, Orphan), and it’s the company’s first horror movie in nearly ten years!

“The film stars Suki Waterhouse as the new girl at the prestigious Edelvine Academy for Girls. Soon after her arrival, six girls invite her to join them in a late-night ritual, calling forth the spirit of a dead former student who reportedly haunts their halls. But before morning, one of the girls is dead, leaving the others wondering what they may have awakened.”

Stephanie Sy, Inanna Sarkis, Madisen Beaty, Djouliet Amara, and Ella-Rae Smith also star.

Adam Wingard is a producer on Seance.
