Second ‘Resident Evil Village’ Demo Reportedly Uploaded to PSN

According to MP1st, we may not have to wait much longer for that second non-exclusive Resident Evil Village demo. The site reports that four new SKUs for USA, Japan, Europe, and Asia regions have been uploaded to the back end of the PlayStation Network, with the name “Resident Evil Village Gameplay Demo” (though Japan’s is obviously named “Biohazard“).

MP1st also revealed that the demo itself is around 10GB, and contains that image of Chris spliced with a wolf’s head, which for now we can still only speculate what it’s about. Lastly, the files for the demo contain references to remote play functionality, as well as Vita controls.

Capcom had mentioned that a second demo not exclusive to the PS5 would be arriving this Spring. And unlike the Maiden demo, the new demo would focus solely on gameplay instead of being a graphical showcase.

No release date has been set for the demo, but seeing as we’re due for another Resident Evil Showcase later this month, you can bet that the demo will be part of that.

Resident Evil Village arrives on Google Stadia, PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series on May 7, alongside Resident Evil RE:Verse.
