Stephen King Adaptation “Lisey’s Story” Coming to Apple TV+ in June; Written by King Himself! [Images]

Julianne Moore and Clive Owen are the stars of a small screen adaptation of Stephen King‘s Lisey’s Story that’s coming to Apple TV+, with Moore playing the title character and Owen co-starring as her late husband. Vanity Fair shares new images and a date today.

“Lisey’s Story” is coming to Apple TV+ on June 4, Vanity Fair reports.

The 8-hour series is written by King himself. “I wanted to say something about marriage, about long marriage, and about celebrity and about the side of lives that are public and the sides of lives that are private—and the door between those two worlds,” King told Vanity Fair.

“The series is described as a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey (Moore) two years following the death of her husband. The series explores a series of events that causes her to begin facing amazing realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten.”

J.J. Abrams is producing through Bad Robot Productions.

Dane DehaanJoan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Sung Kang will also star.
