“The Universe is Expanding”: Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” Poll is Down to the Final Four Choices

Last week, Ryan Murphy had teased that “the universe is expanding” in regards to “American Horror Story,” launching a social media poll to help determine which of several ideas fans are most interested in seeing the series explore. That list has now been whittled down to the final four, and Murphy has once again taken to social media to cut it down even further.

The “X-Mas Horror” and “Piggy Man” options have been removed from the poll after a week of fan voting, with the following themes/ideas now part of that final four roundup:

  • AHS: Aliens
  • AHS: Bloody Mary
  • AHS: Sirens
  • AHS: Plague

We still don’t know exactly *why* Murphy started this poll in the first place, but it seems he and the “AHS” team are gauging interest in potential upcoming seasons of the FX series. Either that or the poll has something to do with the upcoming tenth season of the series, which will have a “Double Feature” theme featuring one story by land and one story by sea.

The franchise will premiere not only its tenth season – “American Horror Story: Double Feature” – this year but also a spinoff anthology series, titled “American Horror Stories.”
