[Trailer] ‘Divine Comedy’-Inspired RPG ‘Nadir’ Launching Kickstarter April 29th

Back in January, we told you about Nadir, the upcoming RPG from the same folks who brought you Alder’s Blood. Shockwork Games today announced that the Kickstarter for Nadir will launch April 29th, and have released a new trailer to celebrate.

“Even though we’ve worked with publishers before, we are committed to keeping the development of Nadir independent for as long as possible,” explains the devs in their decision to go the Kickstarter route. “Our goal is to raise 30 thousand euros. We are certain that, with help and support from the backers, we’ll be able to bring our vision to life, as we’ve already done before with Alder’s Blood. Especially since the core of the game is already finished.”

As with many Kickstarter campaigns, Nadir includes a number of stretch goals:

  • At 44k, additional skills and items will be added to the game
  • At 55k, voice actors will be hired to give life to Sins
  • At 65k, tarot cards with global modifiers that affect both you and your enemies will be added to the game
  • At 100k, the devs will begin work on a game expansion that involves you conquering the heavens
  • At 120k, the team will begin work on porting Nadir to the PS5 and Xbox Series

Currently, Nadir is planned for a PC release via Steam and GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
