Build and Command Your Vampire Army in Upcoming Strategy Game ‘V Rising’

Stunlock Studios, the folks behind the indie hit Battlerite, have announced an new strategy game in V Rising, where you take on the role as a weakened vampire looking to regain your empire.

According to Stunlock Studios’ Johan Ilves, the team took inspiration from “everything from classic gothic horror literature to Netflix’s Castlevania” to create the world of V Rising. “We want to give players the full vampire experience of avoiding the burning sunlight, hunting for blood and building their castle. All this while competing against other players and being tracked by vampire hunters.”

The title will have you starting out as a simple vampire needing to hunt for blood in nearby settlements to regain your strength and quench your thirst. From there, you’ll be able to build and customize your castle, invite friends to join your clan, and convert humans to vampires to grow your empire. You’ll also be engaging in real-time combat and compete for world domination with PvP and PvE challenges.

At the moment V Rising is currently building towards a beta later this year. You can sign up for the Beta and newsletter here. You can also wishlist the game on Steam.
