‘KnifeCorp’ Salespeople Get Into a Knife Fight With Kane Hodder [Trailer]

It’s knife salespeople vs. horror icon Kane Hodder in the slasher, KnifeCorp, acquired by Cinedigm Corp for release in North America later this summer.

Hodder, who is known to horror fans for playing Jason Voorhees in four of the Friday the 13th films, stars alongside Sleepaway Camp‘s Felissa Rose, with Peter Gilroy (The Disaster Artist) and Boone Platt (Black Lightning).

In the film… “When a group of young idealistic salespeople set out on their first day with KnifeCorp, they have no idea they may not survive. While making his rounds, naive and ambitious high school senior, Wally Banks, mistakenly seeks the business of a dangerous recluse (Hodder), who is all too eager to test out the product. When the young man unknowingly stumbles upon a dangerous secret, his goal changes from making the sale to making it out alive.

Directed by Zach Zorba Grashin, Knifecorp is said to be a throwback to classic slasher films and reflect the current popular resurgence of retro horror.

“When young salespeople go door-to-door selling very sharp knives to strangers, what could possibly go wrong? Especially if Kane Hodder, as a menacing would-be customer, answers the door?” asked Melody Fowler, Vice-President of Acquisitions at Cinedigm. “Knifecorp answers those questions and more with great exuberance and a high body count.  The film combines the terror of a slasher with the humor and self-referential awareness of the best ‘90s teen horror films.”

Here’s the trailer.
